Regulatory Measures

Description of Conservat!on Measure:
Regulatory measures, including standards for water use efficiency fixtures and landscapes, and
ordinances, codes, or other laws designed to encourage water use efficiency

Existing Conditions:
. Mandatory watering days 1978 to 1988
. Distributed shower restrictors to interested customers in mid 1980's
. Encouragement of every third day watering, provided on a voluntary basis, in which the
District provides a schedule each spring. By makirig this voluntary the District has received
a positive response from the public

Future Implementations:
Willows Water District will provide the customers with more information on alternatives for water
conservation. The District will continue to have guidelines to be followed on a voluntary basis.
