The Departmental policy also encourages <br />other state and local agencies, and the landscape industry in general, 'to use native <br />and dryland adaptable plant materials in their. landscape projects. <br /> <br />It is recognized that certain projects will require irrigated plantings. These <br />projects are to be kept at a minimum and, where necessary, irrigation systems are to <br />be designed to make best use of the least amount or water through the use of low <br />precipitation or drip irrigation systems or by "atering for plant establishment only. <br />Afl future construction plans which include planting specifications and all District <br />and staff maintenance activities shall reflect this policy. <br /> <br />1 <br />.I <br /> <br />/ <br />/ <br />/ <br /> <br />.,. <br /> <br />.I <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />.
