<br />I amended to read: <br /> <br />2 37-60-104. Personnel. (I) The board shall consist of fifteen <br /> <br /> <br />3 members. The executive director ofthe department of natural resources, <br /> <br /> <br />4 shall he- a ,ol;ng meHJb~l ex officio. Th" attorney general, state engineer, <br /> <br />5 director of the division of wildlife, commissioner of agriculture or <br /> <br /> <br />6 designee, and director of said board shall be nonvoting members ex <br /> <br /> <br />7 officio. The nine remaining members shall be qualified electors of the <br /> <br /> <br />8 state, well versed in water matters, and shall be appointed by the <br /> <br /> <br />9 governor, with the consent of the senate, for terms of three years; except <br /> <br />I 0 that no appointment shall be made that does not conform to the <br /> <br /> <br />II requirements of subsections (3) and (4) of this section, The appointments <br /> <br /> <br />12 shall be made in such a manner that the terms of three members shall <br /> <br /> <br />13 expire on February 12 of each year. In case a vacancy occurs in the <br /> <br />14 appointed membership of the board by death or resignation, the governor <br /> <br /> <br />15 shall appoint a successor to serve the unexpired term of any member of <br /> <br />16 the board within thirty days after the creation of such vacancy, <br /> <br /> <br />17 SECTION 2. Safety clause.
