BY REPRESENTATIVES Hilsmeier, DeFilippo, <br />Erickson, Reeves, Schauer, Spano, Tancredo, Trimble, Gorsuch, <br />Johnson, Theos, and Traylor; also SENATOR Woodard. <br /> <br />CONCERNING THE NEGOTIATION OF CONTRACTS TO PROVIDE CONSULTANT <br />SERVICES TO THE STATE. <br /> <br />.Be it enacted El the General Assembly ~ ~ State of Colorado: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Article 30 of title 24, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, as amended, is amended BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW <br />PART to read: <br /> <br />PART 14 <br />NEGOTIATION OF CONSULTANTS' CONTRACTS <br /> <br />24-30-1401. Legislative declaration. The purpose of this <br />part 14 is to provide managerial control by the state over <br />competitive negotiations for the acquisition of the professional <br />services provided by architects, engineers, landscape architects, <br />and land surveyors. It is hereby declared to be the policy of <br />thi s state to pub 1i cly 'announce requi reroents for ~uch <br />professional services, to encourage allquallfied persons tc put <br />themselves in a position to be considered for a contract, and to <br />negotiate contracts for such professional services on the basis <br />of demonstrated competence and qualification for the types of <br />professional services required and on the basis of the furnishing <br />of such professional services at fair and reasonable fees. <br /> <br />24-30-1402. Definitions. As used in this part 14, unless <br />the context otherwise requires: <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Capital letters indicate new material added to existing statutes; <br />dashes through' words indicate deletions from existing statutes and <br />such material not part of act. <br />
