<br />the Town of Parker, and the residents of the Parker Water and Sanitation <br />District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Rueter-Hess Reservoir will be the first major reservoir built <br />in the south metro area in recent years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Adding water storage in the south metro area is an issue of <br />regional and statewide importance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Rueter-Hess Reservoir has complied with environmental <br />requirements of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Environmental Impact <br />Statement process; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Rueter-Hess Reservoir, which has been planned by the <br />Parker Water and Sanitation District for nearly 20 years, has received its <br />federal 404 permit; now, therefore, <br /> <br />Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Sixty-fourth General Assembly of the <br />State of Color ado: <br /> <br />That the Colorado General Assembly congratulates the Parker Water and <br />Sanitation District for its diligence in pursuing planning for and approval of <br />Rueter-Hess Reservoir. <br /> <br />PAGE 2-SENATE RESOLUTION 04-005 <br />
