1 GROUND WATER BASIN and, if so, the general description, as defined in

2 paragraph (C) of this subsection (3), of the overlapping area;

3 SECTION 5. 37-45-111 (I), Colorado Revised Statutes, is

4 amended to read:

5 37-45-111. Notice of hearing on petition. (1) Immediately after

6 the filing of such petition, the court ~ hc;j cin such IN WHICH THE petition

7 is filed, by order, shall fix a place and time, not less than sixty days nor

8 more than ninety days after the petition is filed, for A hearing. thereon,

9 and therebpOlJ The clerk of said THE court shall:

10 (a) Cause notice by publication to be made of the pendency ofthe

11 petition and of the time and place of THE hearing; thereon, the clerk of

13 (b) Cause a copy of said notice to be mailed by United States

14 registered mail to the board of county commissioners of each of the

15 several counties having territory within the proposed district, AND, IF THE

16 PROPOSED DISTRICT INCLUDES ANY LANDS WITHIN THE BOUNDARY OF A

17 DESIGNATED GROUND WATER BASIN, TO THE GROUND WATER COMMISSION

18 AND TO THE BOARD OF DlRE~TQE,SDEANY_GROUND WAIER.MANAGEMENT-

19 DISTRICT WITHIN WHICH SUCH LANDS ARE LOCATED,

20 SECTION 6. 37-45-130, Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended

21 to read:

22 37-45-130. Exemptions. All property of whatever kind and

23 nature owned by the state and by towns, cities, school districts, drainage

24 districts, irrigation districts, park districts, water districts, GROUND WATER

25 MANAGEMENT DISTRICTS, or any other governmental agency within said

26 district shall be exempt from assessment and levy by the board as

27 provided by this article for the purposes of this article.
