Currently, we are
awaiting determinations from the State Engineer's Office (Dam Safety)re arding an
administrative decision on the proposed new spillway location and also on a design concept
question(these questions have been before Dam Safety for a number of mnths). Recent verbal
communications with Dam Safety indicate that these issues will be resoled to our satisfaction,
allowing the current spillway concept to move forward to design. Once t se issues are
resolved, we expect to complete a design within six to nine months and then forward the design
to Dam Safety and CWCB for their and your consideration and review. Upon approval from
Dam Safety and CWCB we expect to commence construction at the soonest opportunity, which
likely will begin in the summer of that year. We are requesting a three year extension of the
current loan.
The Riverside Board and stockholders have made all necessary approval , are fully informed on
the matter and even more eager than the CWCB to have this project competed.
Thank you for your assistance with this loan. Please let us know if there is anything more that
we can provide.
.'•cere ,
Don Chap an,
Superintendent
