EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Professional Services <br /> Membrane Treatment Concentrate Zero Liquid Discharge Pilot Plant Study <br /> WATER ACTIVITY NAME - Zero Liquid Discharge Pilot Study <br /> GRANT RECIPIENT— East Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District <br /> FUNDING SOURCE - WSRA Statewide Account ($200,000) and Metro Basin Account <br /> ($200,000) <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> This is an Exhibit attached to and made a part of the Agreement between EAST <br /> CHERRY CREEK VALLEY WATER AND SANITATION DISTRICT (District) and <br /> Colorado Water Conservation Board. (CWCB)for professional services to conduct a zero <br /> liquid discharge (ZLD)pilot plant study to examine technologies for treatment of <br /> membrane water treatment plant concentrate (Project). The study will utilize <br /> commercially available equipment to evaluate two ZLD technologies—Vibratory Shear <br /> Extraction Process (VSEP) and High Recovery Reverse Osmosis Process (HRROP). <br /> Concentrate from the Town of Lochbuie (Town) Colorado existing Membrane Water <br /> Treatment plant will be utilized as source water for the pilot studies. The District will <br /> work with the Town to site temporary facilities to house pilot plant equipment and <br /> provide necessary utilities to support equipment operation and testing. <br /> The study is being funded by a grant from the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br /> (CWCB) to the District, District funds and a grant from the South Metro Water Supply <br /> Authority. <br /> SUMMARY OF TASKS <br /> The Scope of Services of the District as follows: <br /> 1.0 Task 1 —Prepare Work Plan <br /> 1.1 Prepare a draft Project Work Plan describing pilot study objectives, performance <br /> objectives and testing scenarios; equipment testing protocols and associated test <br /> parameters, general site layout, operational and utility requirements, and procurement <br /> approach; pilot plant staff activities during the six months of on-site testing; overall <br /> Project schedule; communication and coordination with the Town; health and safety <br /> requirements; and, project documentation and progress reporting. Ten (10) paper <br /> copies and one electronic copy of the draft Work Plan will be submitted to the <br /> District for review and distribution to the Town and CWCB. <br /> ECCV_ScopcOfWork.doc I <br />
