AMM -W ORAADO <br />A&k I <br />0 Colorado Water <br />CorLservation Board <br />Depai-Wrient o,� Nfatu.ra� Resoui-ces <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 718 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Memorandum <br />To: Rebecca Mitchell, Water Supply Planning Section Chief <br />From: Kevin Reidy Et Ben Wade <br />Water Supply Planning <br />Date: December 9, 201V <br />IVITTIMIiIi Way"I.T.-M, <br />The Water Supply Planning staff recommends that Rebecca Mitchell, Section Chief, <br />approve a Water Efficiency Grant to update a Water Efficiency Plan in the amount of <br />$29,878.93 for the City of Longmont. <br />The City of Longmont is a covered entity in the South Platte Basin and is in the process <br />of updating their Water Efficiency Plan. Over the next ten years, Longmont is <br />forecasted to grow 1.5% annually like many other communities along the Front Range. <br />The City has identified through their Water Supply Master Plan that future water <br />savings of 1,750 acre feet per year will most likely happen through proper <br />management of commercial and irrigation accounts. <br />The total cost of the project is $42,249.80. Longmont is committing 29% matching <br />funds in the form of $12,370.88 in cash. CWCB staff has reviewed and evaluated the <br />grant application and has determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB <br />guidelines for reviewing grant proposals.
