There are no decreed surface <br /> diversions within this reach of stream. According to the DEO, there is usually sufficient water <br /> available within this stream reach to satisfy the recommended instream flow amount. Based on <br /> this analysis, staff has determined that water is available for appropriation on the Smith Fork <br /> Gunnison River, from the confluence of North and South Smith Fork Gunnison Rivers to the <br /> confluence with Little Coal Creek, to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree <br /> without limiting or foreclosing the exercise of valid existing water rights. <br /> - 6 - <br />
