the next three years. The other industry has indicated that they will bring 25 new jobs to the Town <br /> within the next year, and up to 45 total jobs within five years <br /> The Town has recently annexed four properties into the town limits totaling approximately 340 <br /> acres of land. Two of the properties primary purposes will be industrial/commercial. The other two <br /> properties have been zoned for residential uses. The development plans call for approximately 500 <br /> new single family residential units and 150 multi-family units. Construction has begun on the first <br /> development with 8 houses currently under construction and 36 slated for 2017. The second <br /> development is scheduled to start construction in the fall of 2017. <br /> It is estimated that the population in 2027 will be 2,280 people (900 existing+ 1,380 new <br /> residents), with full buildout of the two new residential developments. The Town is also in <br /> consultation with a third housing developer to construct estate lots just north of Town. <br /> Project Service Area and Facilities. <br /> The service area for the Town of Wiggins is shown on Appendix A. The service area is generally <br /> bounded by I-76 to the north and Highway 52 to the east. The western boundary generally <br /> consists of the flood control dike that was constructed to prevent flooding from Kiowa Creek. <br /> The Town's existing water facilities are primarily split into two locations; (1) inside Town limits <br /> and (2)approximately seven miles north of Town at the reverse osmosis (RO)water treatment <br /> plant (WTP). The infrastructure in Town includes three "Kiowa Bijou"wells,three"Thomas" <br /> wells, one at-grade 500,000-gallon storage tank, and various distribution lines. Approximately <br /> seven miles north of Town,there are two "South Platte"wells, a reverse osmosis water treatment <br /> plant and a 50,000-gallon storage tank. <br /> Currently there are six wells (Kiowa Bijou wells and Thomas wells) located in the Kiowa Bijou <br /> Basin which are permitted for municipal use. Three wells (Well 1418, Well 14465 and Well <br /> 14466) are located in Town and are housed within a single well house near the intersection of <br /> Main Street and County Road P. The well house was constructed in the mid-1970s. Well 1418 has <br /> an annual appropriation of 170.3 AF, while Well 14465 and14466 have a combined annual <br /> Page 5 of 15 <br />
