Box 637 <br /> Center, CO 81125 <br /> Re: Rio Grande Cooperative Project - Authorization Increase <br /> Travis, <br /> I am pleased to inform you that on November 16, 2016, the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br /> approved staff's request to increase the original Rio Grande Cooperative Project authorization <br /> by $10 million and include it in the 2017 Projects Bill. <br /> I have attached a copy of the Board Memo dated November 17, 2016, that includes the <br /> Board's approval. It is important to note that if the Projects Bill is signed by the Governor, the <br /> District will need to submit a formal request to the Board for final approval of a loan and grant <br /> funding package. As always, an executed contract must be in place before funds can be <br /> disbursed for expenses related to this project authorization. <br /> The CWCB is excited to see this extremely important project moving forward.
