}
CRSP-MOA Proposals
Updated 05-29-14
Total CRSP-MOA Expenditures through June 2, 2014 on all 4 states' proposals: $9,469,466
Total Obligations (includes Expenditures): $9,469,466
Colorado Projects
2012 Proposals
Florida Ditch/Canal Linings—Florida Project(CRSP Participating) - WCAO has completed the specifications
and designs. Proposal from 8A contractor significantly higher than engineers estimate. Wernke/Moran
negotiated with 8A contractor. Awarded August 9th for about$1.7 Million. The Contactor substantially
completed the project on April 30,21014 in time for water to be delivered on May 7,2014. The
contractor is required to return in the late fall to reseed areas disturbed during construction. The
projected total cost of the construction is $1,750,265.88. Kevin Moran
Fairview Pumps—Dolores Project(CRSP Participating) -Replacement of pumps used to pressurize irrigation
water for the Dolores Project. Equipment contract awarded 9-18-2013 for$1.15 M. Work is being done on
installation contract estimated at$360K. A site tour is scheduled April 24 for the equipment installation
contract with proposals due May 12. Vern Harrell and Mark Wernke
Lemon Dam Upstream Gates—Florida Project(CRSP Participating) -Replacement of gate seals at Lemon
Dam, southwestern Colorado. WCAO—DUR has had several discussions with Lemon Dam operator who has
also been focusing on canal lining project. This will likely be a two contract job. One for divers and one for the
seals. Timing the work to coincide with low water in the reservoir will reduce costs. In the meantime, specs are
being developed. Anticipated award moved to 4th quarter FY15. Design work is on-going. Received Technical
Paragraphs from Denver. Randy is finishing up scope. Design package is 95%complete. Project work 2015,
pending operating conditions of the reservoir. Tyler Artichoker and Randy Green
Lower Gunnison Basin Selenium Management—Uncompahgre Project—Gunnison Basin PBO. The System
Optimization portion is being funded by the State of Colorado. Water Efficiency Improvements will be
implemented following completion of the Optimization Study. Waiting for report from Cal Poly.No major
obligations before FY2014. Mark Wernke
2013 Proposals
Silver Jack Reservoir/Bostwick Park Project—(CRSP Participating) -Automation of Silver Jack Dam outlet
works. WCAO—GJ is developing an RFP for a design/build for the project. Schedule is slipping. Bob has
been spending time on Silt, but has started to work on Silver Jack. Considering IDIQ contract for
SCADA on WCAO projects. Bob Norman
Crawford Reservoir—Smith Fork Project(CRSP Participating)—Aspen Canal and lateral piping. Initial
planning work of this proposal suggests that, in order to achieve best practicable water management and project
efficiency, additional funds are necessary to perform more comprehensive improvements. This will allow
improvements to be installed with CRSP-MOA money to be connected to improvements to be installed with an
approved salinity proposal. In addition, a future proposal may be forthcoming to continue lining/piping of the
Aspen Canal. The TSC is conducting a planning study of CRSP MOA proposals and the results should provide
