42 <br /> 1 project process that Kevin Rein from the State <br /> 2 Engineer ' s office reviewed with the committees • <br /> 3 yesterday and we also have , you know, our first <br /> 4 pilot in that , you know, proposal was submitted <br /> 5 yesterday, so we ' re , we ' re trying to move on that <br /> 6 front and, you know, we have to - - the bottom line <br /> 7 is we ' ve got all these things going on and we have <br /> 8 to have a plan if , you know, we ' re going to have our <br /> 9 state ' s water portfolio match up with its water <br /> 10 values , and we ' ve got - - we ' ve narrowed those down <br /> 11 to four, and they ' re vibrant cities , productive ag, <br /> 12 robust recreational economy, and a strong <br /> 13 environment . <br /> 111 <br /> 14 If we want Colorado to look the way we want it <br /> 15 to look for our kids and our grandkids , then we ' ve <br /> 16 got to do something more than just let , as Mike <br /> 17 Chaney has referred to it , water Darwinism take <br /> 18 hold, so we ' re doing this work from the grass roots <br /> 19 up . <br /> 20 We ' re really proud of that in Colorado . We ' ve <br /> 21 got eight years of civic engagement under our belt <br /> 22 with the Basin Round Tables and the IBCC or <br /> 23 Inter-Basin Compact Committee process , and that ' s , <br /> 24 you know, the reason we ' re proud of it is because <br /> 25 it ' s harnessing the local control attributes of our 411 <br />
