So , you know, we 've got a lot of <br /> 3 challenges on the hydrology, and trying to make sure <br /> 4 that we ' ve got a plan to address that variability is <br /> 5 something that we ' re working on . <br /> 6 Also , you saw a graph of the - - from NRCS on <br /> 7 the - - a snowpack in the Colorado River Basin . <br /> 8 Obviously, the transmountain diversions , the 26 <br /> 9 transmountain diversions unite our state and mean <br /> 10 that the snowpack on the Colorado River is as <br /> 11 important to the folks on the Front Range as it is <br /> 12 the folks on the western slope , so that ties us <br /> • 13 together, and that basin ' s been doing some modeling <br /> 14 and that was reviewed at the Colorado River Water <br /> 15 Users Association meeting in Las Vegas last week . <br /> 16 That shows that , you know, we have to be doing some <br /> ` 17 contingency planning for Lakes Powell and Meade . <br /> 18 The contingency planning needs to be in place so <br /> 19 that if those reservoirs go too much lower, that <br /> 20 we ' ve got a plan in place in that basin . <br /> 21 We also have to - - we ' ve heard loud and clear <br /> 22 as we ' ve gone around the state , really for the last <br /> 23 several decades , that we ' ve got to equip ag <br /> ,° 24 producers with alternatives to permanent ag buy and <br /> 25 dry, and we ' re working on that . We ' ve got a pilot <br />
