1. Identify a suitable contract appraiser for the District to hire to complete appraisal reports to <br /> Forest Service specifications. <br /> 2. Review and provide input on appraisal instructions to the contract appraiser issued by the <br /> Forest Service Review Appraiser. <br /> 3. Represent the District during appraisal site visits by the Forest Service Review Appraiser and <br /> contract appraiser. <br /> 4. Review the appraisal reports and facilitate input by the District. <br /> Major Deliverables/Products: <br /> 1. Forest Service-approved appraisal reports for the exchange parcels. <br /> Task 5—Exchange Approval and Closing <br /> Description of Task: WLG will work to secure a favorable Decision Notice signed by the Forest <br /> Supervisor for the Rio Grande National Forest approving the exchange and facilitate the land <br /> exchange closing. Tasks to complete this phase of the process include,but are not limited to: <br /> 1. Negotiate any modifications to the exchange based on the findings of the NEPA analysis and <br /> appraisals. <br /> 2. Provide updated title evidence for all parcels in the proposed exchange. <br /> 3. Updates to Phase I ESA reports. <br /> 4. Prepare escrow closing instructions and facilitate the land exchange closing. <br /> Major Deliverables/Products: <br /> 1. Signed Exchange Agreement between the District and the Forest Service. <br /> 2. Issuance of a Federal Patent to the District. <br /> Task 6—Reporting <br /> Description of Task: WLG will provide the District with technical memos,meeting summaries <br /> and other communications throughout the process. In addition, WLG will also provide the <br /> District with a comprehensive status report every calendar year quarter. <br /> Major Deliverables/Products: <br /> 1. Status reports every calendar year quarter. <br /> COMPENSATION • <br /> The contract work described above is on a time and material basis with a not to exceed amount <br /> of$249,000. The attached spreadsheet provides a detailed breakdown of the costs associated <br /> with each task. It is understood by the parties that as the project evolves and additional data is <br /> obtained,that tasks and their associated schedules and costs may be modified(decreased or <br /> 6 <br />
