A draft of this document will be made
available by January 14, 2008. The final version will accompany the Loan
Feasibility Study Common Elements report.
Task 3. Detailed Timeline with Notes for Internal Use
Produce a more detailed timeline, to supplement the summary chart included in the Task
1 document. This timeline will also include portions that describe:
1) CWCB's loan and legislative requirements/approvals timeframe (for loans
greater than $10 million, as well as for any legislative approvals that may be
needed to facilitate the payment provisions of water users contracts managed
by CWCB);
2) Typical city/district budgeting timelines; and
3) A more detailed timeline for the Corps' Feasibility Study/EIS/ Record of
Decision/Mitigation Construction/Water Contracting timeframe.
This timeline will be based on the best information currently available, recognizing that
this document will require updates as the project develops. Optional start/end dates for
certain components will be included, with further discussion in notes attached to the
chart. A draft of this timeline will be provided to CWCB staff for review by January 14,
2008. A final version will be provided within 2 weeks of receiving review comments
back from CWCB staff.
II. TIME REQUIRED
We can begin the proposed services as soon as we receive authorization to
proceed. We estimate the services under Part I can be completed within one
month after the Corps of Engineers releases the Draft Environmental Statement
for public review and comment. The January 14, 2008 deadline is contingent on
receiving timely input from CWCB and Corps staff, and timely acceptance of this
proposal.
