Please provide a brief description of the owner's existing water supply facilities and describe any existing operational or maintenance problems. The District's water facilities consist of intake facilities to intercept water from the Beaver Park Water, Inc.'s canal as well as a connection point from Brush Hollow Reservoir. The water is diverted into the District's water treatment plant that provides treatment levels in accordance with CDPHE regulations for surface water sources. The water is conveyed to the District's distribution system and storage facilities. The District's distribution system provides service to its 1,701 connected users. The District's water supply is obtained by virtue of a lease with Beaver Park Water, Inc. This project is geared to enable the District to pay for additional surface water rights on the Arkansas River and develop those rights by of a well field and a transmission line to convey the consumptive use of the rights to an enlarged Brush Hollow Reservoir. This will allow the District to diversify its water supply sources and better assure itself of meeting the District's raw -water needs during drought conditions.
