• U.S. Bureau of Reclamation-Rehabilitation and Betterment,Uncompahgre <br /> Project;Contract No.R.O.Rev.4/10/81,dated March 20, 1981. <br /> The R&B contracts included repairs and refurbishment of the Gunnison Tunnel,upgrades <br /> of the Canal headworks and the components of the distribution system. Contracts No. <br /> 14-06-400-1067 and 14-06-400-4419 provided loans for $2,500,000.00 to be repaid in <br /> annual <br /> installments of $60,000. Contract No. R.O. Rev. 4/10/81 provided for a loan of <br /> $5,640,000.00 to be repaid in annual installments of$237,000. <br /> Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Act <br /> • Salinity Contract for the Lower Gunnison River Winter Water Program, Colorado; <br /> Contract No. 87-07-40-R0410. <br /> On February 24, 1987, the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Act was written into <br /> law. <br /> Contract No. 87-07-40-R0410 provided that upon completion of the Tri-County water <br /> distribution line, water taps would be provided from that line for winter stock water. <br /> Upon the completion of the stock water taps, the UVWUA would cease to divert water <br /> through the Gunnison Tunnel to the irrigation distribution system from October <br /> 3lthrough April 15 each year. As an additional incentive to the UVWUA, O&M and <br /> replacement costs would be reimbursed to the water users in the amount of$335,160.00 <br /> indexed with a 2% annual increase. The reimbursement of the O&M costs would be <br /> applied to the outstanding construction and R&B loans. <br /> Colorado Water Conservation Board Contract(CWCB) <br /> • CWCB Contract No. 153522,August 15, 1988. <br /> In the late 1980s,the Federal Government decided to reduce the small loan program and <br /> sold the construction and R&B loans to the State of Colorado.
