VALUES <br /> • The ORV geology demonstrates 4 billion years of geologic history in southern San Juan <br /> Mountains. Primarily volcanic/pyroclastic formations,but also glacial formation. You can <br /> see various depositional,pyroclastic layers/tuft& ash. Glacial change shows in the lower <br /> valley. Each feature is not necessarily unique,but the entire range of layers is exemplary. <br /> [There may the same and/or similar layers in the South Fork of the San Juan?] <br /> • Other Values <br /> * Cutthroat trout in Himes Creek <br /> * Black Swifts - near top (Ann will check) <br /> * Wildlife <br /> * Fishing in West Fork <br /> * Rare riparian community below uppermost private property.
