Water Quality <br /> • some improvement has happened, but still a problem <br /> • aware that portions have impaired water quality values under state standards <br /> ▪ plan is in place,but will we get there? <br /> ▪ parts have TMDL, therefore not listed on State 303(d) impaired waters list <br /> • legally qualified to be WSR <br /> • does quality disqualify WSR designation(Q to recognize) - Is this the issue? <br /> • data available <br /> • [28 TMDL]? <br /> • how are we looking at quality? what is the purpose of water quality questions? <br /> ▪ irrigation, drinking . . . <br /> • biological community: concern <br /> • quality: get it back to as natural a state of quality as possible <br /> • natural pollution issues vs. manmade - challenging <br /> • is process in place now good enough <br /> • For all categories, Is the water adequate for protecting the values we're trying to <br /> protect? Are other actions needed? Important 2nd phase question. <br />
