• Wet Meadow peer review comments received, responses being prepared for working group, <br /> WAC, and TAC review. <br /> • Assessment of hydrologic data for each high flow event since 2007 and a comprehensive <br /> hydrology report for all such events under development. <br /> • Significant effort expended in North Platte Choke Point permitting effort. US ACE continues to <br /> raise issues which seem to be beyond reasonable for magnitude and impact of project. <br /> • Monitoring activities continuing for wet meadows at Shoemaker Island, Fort Kearney, and Elm <br /> Creek Complex wet meadows. <br /> • Meeting with NWS personnel in North Platte, NE regarding process for raising minor flood stage <br /> from 6.0 to 6.5. <br /> Water Action Plan oriented efforts include: <br /> • Analysis of Funk Lagoon recharge data and study report nearing completion.. <br /> • Development and posting of hydrologic conditions. <br /> • On-going discussions with surface water right holders interested in selling water yields to <br /> Program. Discussions between NPPD, DNR, and CPNRD with the Program concerning such <br /> water transfers occurring for Dawson County Canal water. Emphasis on price negotiations is <br /> focus currently. <br /> • Discussions on-going with CNPPID on a variable term water leasing program and storage water <br /> leasing program. Main effort focused on short term water lease market/auction is focus of efforts. <br /> • Scoring analysis for CPNRD leased water continues in coordination with NRD staff. <br /> • Evaluation of enhanced recharge recovery project from Phelps Canal recharge using wells under <br /> investigation. Monitoring wells installed on Cook Property associated with recharge capture effort. <br /> • Evaluation of yields and costs associated with inclusion of Elwood recharge in lease <br /> arrangements with CNPPID continues. <br /> • Coordination with NDNR and CPNRD for development of a Water Auction for ground water <br /> leasing. <br /> • Discussions continuing with CPNRD for recharge pit development on Cozad Canal, possibly <br /> Orchard-Alfalfa and Thirty Mile as well. <br /> • Development of a detailed water resources development timeline for Platte Basin to serve as <br /> basis for virgin flow and depletions assessment completed for Platte and North Platte, South <br /> Platte on-going. <br /> • Continuing effort for COHYST GUI coordination and STELLA documentation. <br /> • Water Action Plan Update 2014 completed and accepted by GC. <br /> Adaptive Management Plan Implementation <br /> Efforts during this period for AMP activities were focused on WC, and T&P data analysis, Tern and Plover <br /> nesting site field preparations, and initiation of monitoring efforts. Specific activities include: <br /> • Significant effort expended in completing draft State of the Platte Report. <br /> • Coordination and preparation for ISAC/TAC meeting in July. <br /> • Coordination and oversight of annual whooping crane monitoring data compilation and analysis. <br /> • Collaboration with WC Telemetry Project, data use and review protocol issues resolved for now. <br /> • Coordination with RWBJV for data development and analysis of habitat suitability parameters <br /> completed. <br /> 2 <br />
