REVISED <br />AGIL, LIVESTOCK & NATURAL RESOURCES <br />APPROPRIATIONS <br />A BILL FOR AN ACT <br />CONCERNING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FUND TO PROMOTE THE <br />CONSERVATION OF NATIVE SPECIES, AND MAKING AN <br />APPROPRIATION IN CONNECTION THEREWITH. <br />Bill Summary <br />(Note: This summary applies to this bill as introduced and does <br />not necessarily reflect any amendments that may be subsequently <br />adopted.) <br />S <br />Water and Land Resource Issues Committee. Declares that the <br />MCo <br />a <br />conservation of threatened or endangered species is a matter of statewide <br />C <br />W N <br />concern. <br />Creates the species conservation trust fund for the purpose of <br />E <br />funding programs for the conservation of threatened or endangered <br />species. <br />Authorizes the Colorado water conservation board and its director, <br />in cooperation and consultation with the Colorado wildlife commission <br />and the director of the division of wildlife, to prepare a prioritized list of <br />co <br />E <br />programs to be funded by the species conservation trust fund for approval <br />? <br />by the general assembly by joint resolution. <br />_ <br />Requires the Colorado water conservation board and its director, <br />0 a <br />in cooperation and consultation with the wildlife commission and the <br />M <br />director of the division of wildlife, to prioritize funding from the species <br />conservation trust fund as follows: <br />• The 1988 Cooperative Agreement to implement the Recovery <br />Implementation Program for the Endangered Fish Species in the <br />G <br />Upper Colorado River dated September 29, 1987; <br />"a 'CM0 <br />• The 1992 Cooperative Agreement to implement the San Juan <br />v � <br />River Recovery Implementation Program dated October 21, 1992; <br />o N °0 <br />• The Cooperative Agreement for Platte River Research and Other <br />= a <br />Efforts Relating'to Endangered Species Habitats Along the Central <br />a <br />S(lA ijij #J #tpt I jE'y Affil Ct f Double underlining denotes SENATE amendment. <br />Capital letters indicate new material to be added to existing statute. <br />Dashes through the words indicate deletions from existing statute. <br />
