f4 i,, f3.
1k.
Draft 1, 10 -1 -99
Scope of Work, Part II
The consultant will review and evaluate the methodology, assumptions_ and
information used to design Colorado's Tamarack Plan as described in Tab 3A in the
Cooperative Agreement for Platte River Research and Other Efforts Relating to
Endangered Species Habitats Along the Central Platte River, Nebraska. The
purpose of this review is to verify that the design of the Tamarack Plan was
accomplished using generally accepted engineering practices that were applied
properly and accurately. This analysis should include the following:
1) A review of the general applicability of the Stream Depletion Factor
method in characterizing the timing and amount of accretions a.nd-
depletions to the river resulting from artificial ground water recharge
operations.
2) A review of the specific assumptions and data used in the design of the
Tamarack Plan, including hydrologic information, operational
assumptions, aquifer characteristics, and pumping schedules. The
Consultant should verify that the information and data used are accurate
and that the assumptions made in modeling the Tamarack Plan are
reasonable.
3) An evaluation of Tamarack Plan results, specifically to verify that the
engineering analysis of the Tamarack Plan was done correctly and that
the results are presented accurately. The Consultant shall identify any
"fatal flaws ", if any, related to the engineering/design aspects of the
Tamarack Plan.
