No. 155 <br /> COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br /> 823 State Centennial Building <br /> 1313 Sherman Street <br /> Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> January 30, 1980 <br /> R E S O L U T I 0 N <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Army Corps of Engineers, <br /> Omaha District, completed in January, 1966, a Flood Plain Informa- <br /> tion Report entitled "Flood Plain Information, Volume III, Metro- <br /> politan Region, Denver, Colorado, " which includes Clear Creek; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as <br /> requested by the Inter-County Regional Planning Commission by <br /> Resolution Number 1, adopted December 13, 1967, approved and <br /> designated the floodplains described in the said report; and <br /> WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Hazard Area <br /> Delineation, Clear Creek, Adams County and Jefferson County, <br /> Colorado, " dated November, 1979, has been prepared by Gingery <br /> Associates, Inc. , at the request of the Urban Drainage and Flood <br /> Control District, which report updates and revises the previous <br /> information for Clear Creek as prepared by the Corps of Engineers; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br /> data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br /> or basins of the study area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District <br /> has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br /> and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br /> report; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106 (1) , Colorado Revised Statutes <br /> 1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br /> the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado <br /> Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of <br /> local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses <br /> on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br /> after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br /> Board; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106 (1) (c) , Colorado Revised <br /> Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br /> designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins <br /> and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of <br /> local jurisdictions; and <br />
