I am sure there will <br /> 5 be a lot of debate at 4 o'clock as to implementing those recommendations. The Engineering <br /> 6 Committee is the next to be heard from. Who was the chair of the Engineering Committee last <br /> 7 night? <br /> 8 MR. HAYZLETT: I chaired it, Mr. Cooley. <br /> 9 CHAIRMAN COOLEY: Pardon me. I knew that David wasn't here. I blanked <br /> 10 out. Mr. Hayzlett. <br /> 11 MR. HAYZLETT: The meeting of the Engineering Committee of ARCA was <br /> W12 called to order at 7:00 p.m. on December 13, 1993, by Randy Hayzlett who was substituting for <br /> 13 David Pope, who was unable to attend. Carl Genova, the other Compact member, was in <br /> 14 attendance. <br /> 15 Kansas proposal for enhancing and improving the quality of data available to <br /> 16 ARCA on stream flows and depletions of the Arkansas and its tributaries submitted to ARCA <br /> 17 last year was discussed in detail at the Engineering Committee. <br /> 18 In regard to Kansas'proposal on the preservation of power company records, Hal <br /> 19 Simpson summarized Colorado's efforts to acquire these records. He noted that power records <br /> 20 for the period 1986 thru `92 had been obtained from CENTEL and Southeast Colorado Power <br /> 21 Association and that Colorado was also working with other power suppliers to obtain their <br /> 22 records. Colorado has spent$2,000 to date and additional costs may be incurred. Colorado is <br /> 023 willing to provide these records to Kansas if Kansas is willing to share in the cost of obtaining <br /> 24 them. <br />
