ARCA Annual Meeting 16
December 14, 1993
MR. HAYZLETT: Aye.
CHAIRMAN COOLEY: Colorado?
MR. LILE: Aye.
CHAIRMAN COOLEY: Thank you very much, Mrs. Fox. I am sure there will
be a lot of debate at 4 o'clock as to implementing those recommendations. The Engineering
Committee is the next to be heard from. Who was the chair of the Engineering Committee last
night?
MR. HAYZLETT: I chaired it, Mr. Cooley.
CHAIRMAN COOLEY: Pardon me. I knew that David wasn't here. I blanked
out. Mr. Hayzlett.
MR. HAYZLETT: The meeting of the Engineering Committee of ARCA was
W12 called to order at 7:00 p.m. on December 13, 1993, by Randy Hayzlett who was substituting for
David Pope, who was unable to attend. Carl Genova, the other Compact member, was in
attendance.
Kansas proposal for enhancing and improving the quality of data available to
ARCA on stream flows and depletions of the Arkansas and its tributaries submitted to ARCA
last year was discussed in detail at the Engineering Committee.
In regard to Kansas'proposal on the preservation of power company records, Hal
Simpson summarized Colorado's efforts to acquire these records. He noted that power records
for the period 1986 thru `92 had been obtained from CENTEL and Southeast Colorado Power
Association and that Colorado was also working with other power suppliers to obtain their
records. Colorado has spent$2,000 to date and additional costs may be incurred. Colorado is
willing to provide these records to Kansas if Kansas is willing to share in the cost of obtaining
them.
