WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106( 1 ) (c) , Colorado Revised Statutes
1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate
and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to
make such designations available to legislative bodies of local
jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised
information and data and does hereby recommend to the Colorado
Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as
floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood
( intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater
surface elevations and profiles in said new report, and further
recommends that the floodplain designation for Boulder Creek as
approved by resolution No. 111, adopted July 11, 1978, be
rescinded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser-
vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado,
this 5th day of May, 1983 , that it does hereby designate and
approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being
inundated by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater
surface elevations and profiles in said new report, dated
January, 1983 , and does hereby rescind that said portion of
resolution No. 111, dated July 11 , 1978; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is
directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the City
of Boulder, the Board of County Commissioners of Boulder County,
and the Federal Emergency Management Agency .
