Mr. Dixon m.
informed me that the Bureau is still working on the draft of o
language to be submitted. Re also informed me that the
others anticipated that the Bureau's report on the Gunnison-
Arkansas project will be available sometime this spring. I
think June first is the tentative date. Of course, the
project plans of the Bureau in connection with the Gunnison-
Arkansas have a direct relation to the language that may be
considered for inoorporation in the compact.
It seemed to me that this Commission would undoubtedly
have some very specific questions in connection with such
l enguage, questions which would relate directly to the
specific plans presented. I, therefore, suggested to Mr.
Dixon that it might be better timing to submit the proposed
language to this Commission at the time or soon after the
Gunnison-Arkansas report is available, in order to permit
correlation of that language with the proposals in the report .
I offer that as a suggestion. I think, however, It will
be accepted and anticipated, and, therefore, that there will
be no formal submittal of language to this Commission; in
other words, that that matter will lie dormant until the
Gunnison-Arkansas report is made available.
HR. STONE: General, may I offer some information on
that report which I think has a bearing on your suggestion?
