G. Will, Acting Commissioner of Reclamation, dated <br /> July 30, 1947, with an enclosure, and a letter from Mr. J. <br /> G. Will, Acting Commissioner of Reclamation, dated August <br /> 1, 194?. Copies of each of the commubia*ti:ons I .have just <br /> listed were furnished to each of the State Chairmen for the <br /> information of the Compact Commissioners, and to Mr. Noe, <br /> the Commission Secretary, with a memorandum of mine under <br /> date of August 21, 1947. The Secretary therefore already <br /> has those copies and presumably will attend to their appro- <br /> priate incorporation in our formal record. <br /> I also want to report to the Commission as the Rep- <br /> resentative of the United States some activities of mine in- <br /> cident to a trip to Washington last month on other business. <br /> I toot occasion to contact officials in the Chief of Engineer's <br /> office and in the Bureau of Reclamation. In the Chief of <br /> Engineer' s office I had a number of discussions with Colonel <br /> Terringer and Mr. Kimball, the head of the legal section, re- <br /> garding the aotion of that department on the communication <br /> which I had sent to them regarding their concurrence in the <br /> so-oalled paramountcy clause that our Commission hes develop- <br /> ed in our meetings and correspondence with the Federal Power <br /> Commission.
