the record.
I would now like to report orally to the Commission
regarding some related activities on the part of the Represen-
tatives of the United Statest I was in Washington in day,
that is, last month, on other business, but took ocoasion to
oontaot various people with whom we are, have been, or will
be dealing in connection with the Arkansas Rives Compact. I
talked to Kr. Gatohel.l by phone, and at that time the correa-
pandense which I have now submitted having transpired, I learned
from him that the proposed language in respect to paramountcy
had undergone smooth sailing with the federal Power Commission.
I talked to Kr. Dixon at the Bureau of heolamation and I was
particularly concerned with the course of action with respect
to the fish pool which was to be taken as a result of the dis-
cussions at our meeting here in Leaver in April. Since that
discussion with Kr. Dixon, that course of action has run off
quite satisfactorily.
