Debler to me under date of Kay lei, 1947, <br /> and letter to me from Commissioner Straus, of the Bureau Z <br /> a. <br /> of heolamation, under date of Kay 22, 1947. <br /> 70 <br /> That completes the submittal of correspondence for <br /> the record. <br /> I would now like to report orally to the Commission <br /> regarding some related activities on the part of the Represen- <br /> tatives of the United Statest I was in Washington in day, <br /> that is, last month, on other business, but took ocoasion to <br /> oontaot various people with whom we are, have been, or will <br /> be dealing in connection with the Arkansas Rives Compact. I <br /> talked to Kr. Gatohel.l by phone, and at that time the correa- <br /> pandense which I have now submitted having transpired, I learned <br /> from him that the proposed language in respect to paramountcy <br /> had undergone smooth sailing with the federal Power Commission. <br /> I talked to Kr. Dixon at the Bureau of heolamation and I was <br /> particularly concerned with the course of action with respect <br /> to the fish pool which was to be taken as a result of the dis- <br /> cussions at our meeting here in Leaver in April. Since that <br /> discussion with Kr. Dixon, that course of action has run off <br /> quite satisfactorily. <br /> I also talked to Kr.
