As you know, Mr. ?attereon graciously
agreed to assume that burden early last year--and I say ,
"burden° advisedly. It has been my feeling, in view of Mr.
0
Patterson' s health in recent months, that ire, if possible,
divest him of that burden And place it upon other shoulders.
I have discussed that thought with Mr. Patterson directly, and
with Mr. Tidal and Mr. Knapp, with the resulting agreement
among as that we honorably relieve Mr. Patterson and appoint
as Secretary of this Commission the gentleman who acted so
ably as Acting Secretary at the last meeting, Mr. Moe.
I would welcome discussion of this suggeetion.
MR. PATTERSON* I have this one thought about it.
I would like to have it understood that a copy of the trans-
eript after it has served the purposes of the Secretary be
filed in our office, the State Water Board Office, as a matter
of record. We have none other than mine. And I believe it is
advisable for our State Board who pay our Commissioners and
their expenses to have some record on file in the public office
where anyone can ses it, rather than in the private offices of
the other Commissioners of Colorado. If there is no objection
I would like to see that done. You will have at least two
copies or you will have your copy--Mr. Knapp' s copy of the
transcript in ?opeka. While Mr. Vidal' s copy might be thought
to be available here, it is not in our offioial office, and
we feel the need of maintaining those kinds of records.
