„ ,
draft designs will provide information on hydraulic performance, access and bank
improvements, as well as opinions of costs.
Task 5: Initial Steps to Obtain Permitting($5,000)
There are a number of permit requirements associated with working in a waterway. Most
critical are the US Army Corps 404 permit, the State of Colorado 401 Water Quality
Certificate, and floodplain compliance. This permitting process generally requires a 6
month period. These permits and the associated coordination with natural resource
managers will be initiated with this SOW in order to limit the potential for project delays,
obtain permits in a timely manner, as well as uncover concerns so that final designs can
address those concerns.
Task 6: Hydraulic Modeling($3,500)
Hydraulic analysis of the draft design will be performed. The existing floodplain data
will be overlaid on the proposed project to discover if there are discrepancies. We will
use standard hydraulic analyses to show how the proposed structures potentially affect
the floodplain. Analysis of the floodplain is imperative to the design of recreation
enhancements so that the design will function within National Flood Insurance Program
standards. THIS TASK DOES NOT INCLUDE FILING LETTERS OF MAP
REVISION.
Deliverables:
1) Letter Report (electronic format) including descriptions of: Recreational
Experience Sought; Reach Length; Statute Compliance; Floodplain Issues;
Environmental Issues; Hydraulic Analysis Summary; Desired Flow Rates and
Seasonal Windows.
2) Draft Design Drawings (electronic format).
9
