Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company—Summit Reservoir and Ditch System Rehab.

Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek Project Yield: 4,287 ac.ft.
Terms of Loan: $200,000 @ 3.75%for 30 years Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab.
This project is the rehabilitation of the Summit Reservoir Dam outlet works and the
construction of repairs and improvements to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's water
collection and distribution facilities. The Cortez office of the Natural Resource Conservation
Service prepared the construction plans and specifications with the construction contract recently
awarded to Noland,Inc. of Mancos, CO. Construction is scheduled for completion in the spring of
1999.
Pinon Mesa Ranches Community Association-Rural Raw Water System Construction

Terms of Loan: $258,000 @ 3.75%for 30 yrs Project Type: Diversion and Dist. System
This$345,000 project is the construction of a new rural raw water irrigation and distribution
system in La Plata County west of Ignacio. The project consists of construction of a concrete
diversion structure and pump station at the Florida River,a transmission pipeline from the diversion
to a storage impoundment, and construction of approximately 9,000 feet of distribution pipeline
from the storage impoundment to the water users. RMI Environmental Services of Farmington,
New Mexico prepared the project design. Project construction commenced September 2, 1997 by
RMI Environmental Services of Farmington,New Mexico (a design/build contractor). The project
is currently 70%complete and continues to be on indefinite hold due to and financial problems.
Fort Morgan, City of —NCWCD Southern Pipeline Extension

Water Source: Colo.-Big Thompson/Windy Gap Project Yield: 6,877 ac.ft.
Terms of Loan: $5,500,000 @ 4%for 40 years Project Type: Pipeline Construction
$8,000,000 @ 4%for 30 years
This project is an extension of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District's
Southern Pipeline Project. The pipeline extension will provide high quality western slope water to
the City of Fort Morgan for their municipal use. Montgomery Watson, Inc. of Denver completed
the project design, from the Hudson/Ft. Lupton extension at Platteville,to the Fort Morgan area, in

June. The construction contract was awarded to BRB Contractors, Inc. of Topeka, Kansas and
construction commenced September 1, 1998. Construction is approximately 55% complete with
project completion scheduled for late 1999.
