• Consolidated Mutual Water Company—Fortune Reservoir Dam Construction <br /> Authorization: SB 99-173 County: Jefferson—NW of Arvada <br /> Water Source: Clear Creek Project Yield: 8,869 ac.ft. <br /> Terms of Loan: $16,300,000 @4.75% for 10 years Project Type:New Dam Construction <br /> This $20,000,000 project is the construction of a new 9,000 acre-foot reservoir northwest of <br /> Arvada. The project consists of a 105-foot high, zoned earth embankment, Probable Maximum <br /> Flood emergency spillway, with a 30-inch diameter outlet pipe. The final design plans were <br /> completed by Tuttle-Applegate, Inc. of Denver and CTL/Thompson, which have been reviewed <br /> and approved by the State Engineer's Office. The construction contract was awarded to R.E. Monk <br /> from Colorado Springs, Colorado, at a contract price of$15,000,000. The distribution pipeline <br /> from the dam to the Company's treatment plant commenced construction in October 1999 by <br /> Company forces. The Dam construction by R.E. Monk is anticipated to commence in March of <br /> 2000,with project completion scheduled for March of 2002. <br /> Pinon Mesa Ranches Community Association-Rural Raw Water System Construction <br /> Authorization: SB 97-008 County: La Plata—W of Ignacio <br /> Water Source: Florida River Project Yield: 125 ac.ft. <br /> Terms of Loan: $206,000 @ 3.75%for 30 yrs Project Type: Diversion and Dist. System <br /> • This $345,000 project is the construction of a new rural raw water irrigation and <br /> distribution system in La Plata County west of Ignacio. The project consists of construction of a <br /> concrete diversion structure and pump station at the Florida River, a transmission pipeline from the <br /> diversion to a storage impoundment, and construction of approximately 9,000 feet of distribution <br /> pipeline from the storage impoundment to the water users. RMI Environmental Services of <br /> Farmington,New Mexico prepared the project design. Project construction commenced September <br /> 2, 1997 by RMI Environmental Services of Farmington, New Mexico (a design/build contractor). <br /> The project is currently 70% complete and continues to be on indefinite hold due to financial <br /> problems. <br />
