Floodplain Designation and Approvals
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This Agenda Item includes 4 floodplain studies/maps proposed for CWCB action. A brief
• summary of the studies is presented below.
1. FPR 98-468: A Floodplain Information Report (FIR), dated September 1998, including an
April 1, 1988 Flood Hazard Boundary Map (FHBM), was prepared by the CWCB for the
Town of Akron in Washington County. The study includes approximate floodplain information
for unnamed drainageways in the community.
2. FPR 98-469: A Flood Hazard Boundary Map (FHBM),dated May 17, 1974,was published
by FEMA for the Town of Ault in Weld County. The study includes approximate floodplain
information for storm drainage areas not specifically associated with any stream courses in the
community.
3. FPR 98-470: A Floodplain Information Report(FIR), dated September 1998, including an
August 5, 1986 Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) for the Town of Fairplay and a portion of
an April 1, 1987 Flood Hazard Boundary Map (FHB11I) for unincorporated Park County, was
prepared by the CWCB for the Town of Fairplay in Park County. The study includes
approximate floodplain information for the Middle Fork of the South Platte River and Beaver
Creek in the community.
