(Please include county, and approximate distance <br /> and direction from nearest town, as well as legal description): This is a statewide program <br /> IDaffecting numerous counties, cities,and towns throughout Colorado. <br /> 4. Please provide a brief narrative description of the proposed project or study including <br /> purpose,need,facilities, and service area: This request is for a non-reimbursable <br /> investment from the Construction Fund to refresh the CWCB's Stream Restoration and <br /> Flood Mitigation Program. These dollars are used to perform studies initiated by the <br /> CWCB and studies initiated by others where CWCB dollars can be leveraged against <br /> federal grant dollars and local matching dollars for Stream Restoration and Flood Mitigation <br /> activities in Colorado. Examples of recent studies/projects include Alamosa River <br /> restoration,Fountain Creek watershed,and Rio Grande headwaters restoration, There has <br /> been a significant amount of interest and support for these types of activities that the CWCB <br /> has been involved with. <br /> Please explain why you are requesting a non-reimbursable, instead of a loan. (The Construction <br /> Fund exists primarily to provide low interest loans for the construction or rehabilitation of <br /> Raw Water Projects.
