BYLAWS • <br /> OF <br /> TAMARISK COALITION, <br /> a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation <br /> 1. ORGANIZATION. <br /> 1.1 Tamarisk Coalition ("TC") was organized on February 14, 2002, by filing Articles of <br /> Incorporation pursuant to the Act. The provisions of the Articles of°Incorporation are <br /> incorporated by this reference, and shall control over any conflicfm <br /> these Bylaws. <br /> g provisions of <br /> 1.2 TC shall have perpetual existence. <br /> 1.3 The specific and primary purposes for which TC is formed are as follows: <br /> 1.3.1 To coordinate and foster the efforts and activities of governmental agencies, <br /> non-governmental organizations, individuals, and private landowners, with <br /> the goal of reclaiming, maintaining and managing native riparian and <br /> associated upland habitats in Western Colorado; <br /> 1.3.2 To develop and support strategies to control invasive species on riparian and <br /> associated upland habitats; <br /> 1.3.3 To coordinate projects aimed at controlling tamarisk and associated invasive <br /> species; <br /> 1.3.4 To act as a clearinghouse for information relating to reclamation, <br /> maintenance and management of native riparian and associated upland <br /> habitats, and control of invasive species; <br /> 1.3.5 To establish a library of current scientific research relating to these goals; <br /> 1.3.6 To sponsor educational seminars and training workshops relating to these <br /> goals; <br /> 1.3.7 To publicize the work of the Corporation; <br /> 1.3.8 To seek funding from grants, contributions and other sources to accomplish <br /> reclamation of riparian and associated upland habitats, and to provide for <br /> operational expenses; and <br /> 1.3.9 For related charitable, scientific and educational purposes, but no substantial • <br /> part of the activities of the Corporation shall be devoted to carrying on <br /> File: TC Bylaws, April 16, 2002.wpd <br />
