Please provide a brief narrative description of the proposed project or study including <br /> purpose,need, facilities, and service area: This request is for a non-reimbursable <br /> investment from the Construction Fund to refresh the CWCB's Flood Response Program <br /> Fund. This Fund was authorized in 2001 by the CWCB Members and is designed to have <br /> an annually appropriated fund of up to $1 50,000 that is refreshed yearly at the beginning of <br /> the state fiscal year. This Fund is designed to address the need for funds to carry out <br /> programmatic responsibilities quickly as they relate to the quickness of flood events. The <br /> CWCB's Flood Response Program activities include. Flood forecasting and outlooks,post <br /> flood event floodplain mapping, flood documentation, aerial reconnaissance photography <br /> and flood mitigation. Through activities related to post wildfire mapping, annual flood <br /> documentation reporting, contracting for 2004 flood forecasting and outlooks the CWCB <br /> flood protection Staff projects spending$100,000 and is therefore requesting a$100,000 to <br /> refresh of the Flood Response Program Fund that was previously authorized by the CWCB <br /> 2 <br />
