This grant request, <br /> submitted by Boulder County Parks and Open Space, seeks funding for needed <br /> Gordon ismct Kennedy infrastructure to shepherd water through the St. Vrain at critical low flow periods. <br /> District 3 P $h P <br /> Robert Brand Since the early 1990s,the St. Vrain Corridor Committee, a cooperative group of local <br /> District 2 <br /> government agencies,private organizations and private citizens have worked together <br /> Bruce Kester to move winter flows out of Ralph Price Reservoir to calling ditches east of the Town <br /> District 6 of Lyons. St.Vrain Creek possesses one of the best natural aquatic environments along <br /> EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR the Front Range,supporting important native fisheries. Low winter flows stresses these <br /> Les Williams native populations of minnows and other small fishes. <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE <br /> ASSISTANT The Corridor Committee's previous activities provided flows through part of the creek <br /> Cynthia Einspahr system. With new pumping facilities installed by the City of Longmont to Union <br /> SECRETARY Reservoir,the Committee's long-term goal of moving flows into lower sections of the <br /> Lee Bauer St. Vrain is closer to being realized. The next crucial step is installing measuring <br /> LEGAL COUNSEL devices at existing diversion structures that would allow passage and accurate <br /> Bernard Lyons measurement of stream flow in low flow periods. <br /> Gaddis&Kahn <br /> CONSULTING The St.Vrain&Left Hand Water Conservancy District is excited to see the cooperative <br /> ENGINEER and innovative nature of solutions being recommended that will meet consumptive <br /> Deere&Ault <br /> Consultants,Inc. needs while realizing needed low flow enhancements for native fisheries.
