Mr. Weaver was sent a copy of the information explaining the financial <br /> commitment needed to complete the project. <br /> • Development Company for Condos Near the Wolf Creek Ski Area <br /> Dusty Hicks, the field manager for the Development Company was contacted and showed real interest <br /> in the project. He was completely baffled by the idea that a fen wetland could be moved. He was not <br /> able to attend the tour on July 21,but asked that we send him a financial commitment letter which has <br /> been sent. <br /> • Colorado Department of Transportation <br /> Rebecca Pierce was contacted and remarked that she certainly knew what fen wetlands were and that <br /> CDOT regularly got questioned by environmental groups due to the proximity of highways and <br /> highway projects to fen wetland areas. Rebecca received a tour of the project site from Dr. Brad <br /> Johnson and additional contacts are being made with the appropriate CDOT budget staff. <br /> • Colorado River Water Conservancy District <br /> Chris Treese, a representative of the Colorado River Water Conservancy District, was contacted and <br /> after checking with his Board it was determined that they were not interested in this project at the <br /> time. We do plan on sending Mr. Treese a copy of our Financial Request letter which is part of <br /> Exhibit D. <br /> • Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District <br /> Eric Wilkinson was contacted and given a brief thumbnail sketch of the project. Follow up <br /> discussions are planned with Mr. Wilkinson or a member of his staff in the near future. <br /> • Climax Molybdenum Mine <br /> Jay Cupp and Tavis Rogers were contacted and information concerning the project was left with <br /> them. A follow up letter outlining the financial needs of the project has been sent to them. <br /> • Northwest Area Council of Governments <br /> Lane Wyatt was contacted and provided information. <br /> • The Nature Conservancy <br /> Tom Iseman and John Sanderson were contacted and provided information on the project. <br /> Colorado Mountain College—Rocky Mountain Fen Project <br />
