financial commitment. Mr. Weaver was sent a copy of the information explaining the financial
commitment needed to complete the project.
• Development Company for Condos Near the Wolf Creek Ski Area
Dusty Hicks, the field manager for the Development Company was contacted and showed real interest
in the project. He was completely baffled by the idea that a fen wetland could be moved. He was not
able to attend the tour on July 21,but asked that we send him a financial commitment letter which has
been sent.
• Colorado Department of Transportation
Rebecca Pierce was contacted and remarked that she certainly knew what fen wetlands were and that
CDOT regularly got questioned by environmental groups due to the proximity of highways and
highway projects to fen wetland areas. Rebecca received a tour of the project site from Dr. Brad
Johnson and additional contacts are being made with the appropriate CDOT budget staff.
• Colorado River Water Conservancy District
Chris Treese, a representative of the Colorado River Water Conservancy District, was contacted and
after checking with his Board it was determined that they were not interested in this project at the
time. We do plan on sending Mr. Treese a copy of our Financial Request letter which is part of
Exhibit D.
• Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District
Eric Wilkinson was contacted and given a brief thumbnail sketch of the project. Follow up
discussions are planned with Mr. Wilkinson or a member of his staff in the near future.
• Climax Molybdenum Mine
Jay Cupp and Tavis Rogers were contacted and information concerning the project was left with
them. A follow up letter outlining the financial needs of the project has been sent to them.
• Northwest Area Council of Governments
Lane Wyatt was contacted and provided information.
• The Nature Conservancy
Tom Iseman and John Sanderson were contacted and provided information on the project.
Colorado Mountain College—Rocky Mountain Fen Project
