The original investment in the 2003 Construction Fund Bill was$500,000 and these
dollars are used to leverage against federal grant dollars and local matching dollars for Map
Modernization activities in Colorado. Rio Grande, Park,Gunnison and El Paso Counties and the
City of Boulder.FEMA has granted well over$7 million thus far for Colorado floodplain
map modernization projects. We anticipate an excellent chance for continued substantial
FEMA funding in Colorado during the next several years and beyond, with total allocations
expected to reach over$10 million.
5.
