The diversion and headgate are in poor condition and the I Company plans to rehabilitate them in 1999. The average annual volume diverted is 23,563 acre-feet. The Sterling Irrigation Company is a mutual ditch company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Colorado. Jack Odor P.E. of G.A.S.P. has been retained by the Company, and has completed the feasibility study. Proposed funding for the project consists of a CWCB loan for $318,583, and $35,400 I from the Company. A$1,400 CWCB grant from the Severance Tax Operational Account and$1,400 from the Company will fund the feasibility study.
