The Sterling Irrigation Company operates the diversion and supplies water to 88 shareholders for <br /> irrigation within the 7,400-acre service area. The diversion and headgate are in poor condition and the <br /> I Company plans to rehabilitate them in 1999. The average annual volume diverted is 23,563 acre-feet. The <br /> Sterling Irrigation Company is a mutual ditch company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the State <br /> of Colorado. Jack Odor P.E. of G.A.S.P. has been retained by the Company, and has completed the <br /> feasibility study. Proposed funding for the project consists of a CWCB loan for $318,583, and $35,400 <br /> I from the Company.
