I i2.4 Emergency Infrastructure Repair Loan Account I In 1993 through HB 93-1273, the Legislature authorized the Board to set aside $2.0 million of Construction Fund money in an account reserved for emergency repair of water resources infrastructure systems to avoid potential economic losses. The money in I the account is continuously appropriated to the Board for immediate availability only for emergency repair of water storage systems or water distribution systems. The account is intended to provide flexibility for the Board to make funds available in a timely manner I in emergency situations. Section 12 of SB 97-008 effective May 21, 1997 directed the State Treasurer to transfer$960,000 or so much as necessary from unreserved cash in the Construction Fund to restore the balance in the account to $2,000,000. 11 The Board approved 3 loans in FY 94, 2 emergency loans in FY 95, no pP emergency g Y emergency loans in FY 96, 2 emergency loans in FY 97, 1 in FY 98, and 1 in FY 99. A I list of the 10 projects that have been authorized by the Board through the Emergency Infrastructure Repair Account is shown in the following table. The balance in the Emergency Infrastructure Repair Account available for loans was $1,064,945 on June 30, 1999.
