RAPID CREEK DAMS #1 & #2 REHABILITATION <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 1 Rapid Creek Dam #2 Upstream Face and Outlet Intake <br /> Project Description <br /> The project was the rehabilitation of the Rapid Creek Dams #1 and #2 on the Grand Mesa. The <br /> project commenced by Walker Construction Co. of Collbran, Colorado in late fall 1994. The <br /> project consisted of replacing the outlet works of both reservoirs including headgates, pipes,weirs <br /> and parshall flumes. The crest of dam #2 was also raised and the upstream face lined with <br /> riprap. <br /> Project Data <br /> County: Mesa River: Ra p id Creek Sponsor: Lloyd Ranch Limited Partnership <br /> 1 Terms of Loan: $100,000 @ 5% for 20 years Substantial Completion: Nov, 1, 1995 <br /> Design Engineer: Zancanella and Associates, Inc. - Glenwood Springs, Colorado <br /> Construction Contractor: Walker Construction Co., Inc. - Collbran, Colorado <br /> Design Criteria: 15 inch ductile iron pipe outlet <br /> 1,100 cu.yd. of riprap <br /> hydraulic lift headgate <br /> Annual Volume of Water Removed from Restriction by the Project: 600 acre-feet <br /> I <br /> 1 <br />
