Water fund capital assets represent 45% of this total. <br /> • <br /> • The capital projects for the Town's governmental activities included street improvements <br /> • of$207,711; furniture and equipment in the amount of $10,702; park improvements of <br /> $95,248 and CIP of$1,269,263 on the Government Facilities Building. <br /> • <br /> • The capital projects for the Town's business-type activities included expenditures of <br /> • $213,191 for the Water Treatment Plant and for Wells and Treatment expense. <br /> • Note 4 of the financial statements provide a detailed summary of the Town's capital <br /> • assets. <br /> • <br /> • Long-term Debt <br /> • The Town of Monument's total debt decreased by $567,294 during 2008. <br /> • <br /> • The Town's long-term debt related to governmental activities decreased by $426,904. <br /> Payments of$333,404 were made on bonds, loans and capital lease obligations during the <br /> year.
