This project will directly help sustain approximately at least 16.000 acres of irrigated agriculture <br /> in Morgan County, an area that has been hard hit by augmentation shortages. It will provide <br /> %vildlife habitat benefits through water access at the recharge ponds while they have water in them. <br /> The ponds are located in the "golden triangle"between Riverside Reservoir, Empire Reservoir,and <br /> Jackson Lake. which is a well known area of importance for waterfowl and related wildlife. <br /> 4. Please provide an overview of the water project or activity to be funded including--type of activity, <br /> statement of what the activity is intended to accomplish. the need for the activity, the problems and <br /> opportunities to he addressed, expectations of the participants, why the activity is important, the <br /> service area or geographic location, and any relevant issues etc. Please include any relevant <br /> TABOR issues that may affect the Contracting Entity. Please refer to Part 2 of Criteria and <br /> Guidance document for additional detail on information to include. <br /> A. Most oi'this information has been provided above. A diagram/map of the proposed project is <br /> attached at the end of this application. Other details are provided in the scope of work. <br /> 13. You can use the example format or your own format, provided that comparable <br /> information is included. <br /> I'he scope of work should outline by task how the water activity will he accomplished. It is <br /> important that the scope of work detail the specific steps. activities/procedures that will be followed <br /> to accomplish the water activity and the specific products/deliverables that will he accomplished. <br /> The scope of work should include but not be limited to: task description, key personnel, budget. <br /> schedule and deliverables and the final report/project documentation upon completion of the water <br /> activity. <br /> A detailed scope of work is attached at the end of this application. <br /> Suggested Format for Scope of Work <br /> The scope of work will form the basis for the contract between the Applicant and the State of Colorado. In <br /> short, the Applicant is agreeing to undertake the work for the compensation outlined in the scope of work <br /> and budget. and in return, the State of Colorado is receiving the deliverables/products specified. <br /> Summarized below is a suggested format for the Scope of Work. <br /> 1. Task 1 - Pipeline <br /> • Pipeline Install pipeline and related appurtenances from the South Platte River south to the <br /> Groves pond location to deliver water to the Groves Ponds and additional Ponds along the <br /> pipeline route. <br /> 6 <br />
