12.7 Project Costs: The estimated costs are shown on Table 6. The total estimated cost in 1995
is $2,725,000. An additional amount of$275,000 is added for inflation based on 5%per year for
two years, for a total project cost of$3,000,000. The cost per acre-foot of 1,872 acre-feet of
average supply is $1,600. The cost estimate needs significant updating and is no longer
appropriate as of August, 2001.
The annual operation and maintenance costs will be the same as it has been historically which is
about$5,000 per year.
12.8 Implementation Tasks: The following activities are planned in preparation for construction
designs:
* Preparation and submission of a 404 Permit application to the Corp of Engineers and
subsequent negotiations on wetland and endangered fish species.
* Coordination with involved entities.
* Negotiations to obtain the necessary lands and right-of-way.
* Marketing water developed by the enlargement.
* Preparation of a draft contract between the CWCB and Company.
* Completion of any additional information required by the CWCB.
The above activities should be completed or progressing to completion without any major
problems, before proceeding to the construction activities. The following are preconstruction
activities.
* complete and ratify contract between CWCB and Company.
* Obtain aerial topography of dam site(2 foot contours, 1" = 50') and reservoir
basin(5 foot contours, 1" = 100').
* Conduct additional geotechnical evaluations.
* Prepare designs and specifications and submit to State Engineer.
* Following review and comments, approval of designs and specifications.
* Obtain title to necessary land.
26
