8 (1) RECEIVING AND EXPENDING GRANTS AND DISTRIBUTIONS OF
9 MONEY, PROPERTY, AND EQUIPMENT FROM THE COLORADO WATER
10 CONSERVATION BOARD FOR USE IN MAKING INVESTIGATIONS,
11 CONTRACTING PROJECTS, OR OTHERWISE CARRYING OUT THE PURPOSES OF
12 THIS ARTICLE. THE GRANTS AND DISTRIBUTIONS FROM THE COLORADO
13 WATER CONSERVATION BOARD ARE CONTINUOUSLY APPROPRIATED TO THE
14 STATE ENGINEER FOR THE PURPOSES SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION.
15 SECTION 19. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 39 -29 -109, amend
16 (2) introductory portion, (2) (a) (VIII) (A), and (2) (c); and add (2) (a)
17 (X) and (2) (a) (XI) as follows:
18 39 -29 -109. Severance tax trust fund - created - administration
19 - distribution of moneys - repeal. (2) State severance tax receipts shall
20 be credited to the severance tax trust fund as provided in section
21 39 -29 -108. Except as otherwise set forth in section 39 -29- 109.5, all
22 income derived from the deposit and investment of the moneys in the
23 fund shall be credited to the fund. At the end of any fiscal year, all
24 unexpended and unencumbered moneys in the fund shaff remain therein
25 and shall not be credited or transferred to the general fund or any other
26 fund. All moneys in the fund sftalf be ARE subject to appropriation by the
27 general assembly for the following purposes:
