Grant funds will be used to improve its online water conservation toolkit,to cover 13 <br /> additional entities under the Arkansas Valley Conduit Regional Water Conservation Plan and to develop <br /> six local Water Conservation Plans. <br /> Summary of Grant Application <br /> The Office of Water Conservation&Drought Planning(OWCDP)received a grant application for a <br /> Water Conservation Implementation Grant from SECWCD to request$37,976.26 from the CWCB Water <br /> Efficiency Grant Program to improve its online water conservation toolkit and to cover 13 additional <br /> entities under the Arkansas Valley Conduit Regional Water Conservation Plan and to develop six local <br /> Water Conservation Plans. <br /> SECWCD plans to expand the Regional Water Conservation Plan approved by CWCB in April 2013 to <br /> include the District's 13 Master Contract entities that participate in District projects and programs. <br /> SECWCD will also use grant money to develop six Water Conservation Plans: two in the Upper and <br /> Lower Arkansas Conservancy Districts and the remaining four to fulfill the implementation plan defined <br /> in the Regional Plan. The final task is to enhance SECWCD's online Best Management Toolbox by <br /> providing case studies to help SECWCD staff and Board Members make informed decisions. <br /> The total cost of the project is $107,126.26. SECWCD has pledged 27%matching funds in the form of <br /> in-kind services($29,150).The remainder of the project, $40,000,will be funded by the US Bureau of <br /> Reclamation. The OWCDP staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant application and has determined <br /> that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant proposals.
