Feasibility Study Loan
Contract#C153642; Dated June 18, 1993
I spoke with Mr. Dan Birch, P.E., Project Development Manager of the Colorado River Water
Conservation District, who manages the planning and construction of all new projects within the
District, to determine that the Yampa River Basin project has not progressed past the feasibility study
that was completed in May 1995.
The project is located on the mainstem of the Yampa River downstream of Craig and upstream of
Dinosaur, Colorado.
As of the date,the project to enlarge the Elkhead Dam and Reservoir by the Colorado River Water
Conservation District has not been completed; nor has any work beyond the completion of the project
feasibility been completed.
Therefore, the feasibility study contract#C153642 is closed and repayment will not be required since
the project has not been constructed during the initial 10 year period after the date of the contract.
